In our presentation, we will share the best titles of high-quality fiction and nonfiction—all published in the summer and fall of 2013—for your middle to high school libraries. Learn how to join MYRA and participate in Minnesota's student choice awards, the Star of the North Picture book award for grades K-2 and the Maud Hart Lovelace Award for readers in grades 3-8.

This session will feature books that can be used to teach the Minnesota Native American standards in art, language arts, social studies and science in grades k-12. Participants will receive grade band bibliographies and all titles covered are available for free checkout through the Perpich Library to any Minnesota educator. People can even register for the library at the workshop and take books home!
